Keraplan
Technical details
The Keraplan products are made according to DIN 12916.Test reports of an independent research institute are confirming the following characteristics:
- high chemical resistance; the only exceptions are hydro-fluoric acid and hot alkali.
- average degree of water absorption 0,04%
- average surface hardness of 8 Mohs
- fully recyclable material
Glazing
The chemical-resistant glazing is applied to the stoneware to enhance the attractiveness of the tops. During the cooking, the glazing is vitrifying and becomes inseparable from the stoneware material. Several colours are available. However, the chemical resistance of the tops is not only due to the glazing, but also intrinsic to the stoneware material itself.
On each drawing, symbols are indicating whether a side-edge is glazed, cold-painted (after cooking) or plain.
